Update device software
You can check for available software updates for the device and download them. Follow these instructions to update the device software.
Before you can update the device's software, you need to install the program Samsung Kies on your computer.
Furthermore, it is recommended that you back up the device memory. Click here to see how.
1. Connect device and computer
Connect the data cable to the device socket and to the computer's USB port.
2. Update device software
Start the program Samsung Kies on your computer.
Depending on the settings in Samsung Kies, the program may suggest to update the device automatically.

To start the update manually:
Select your device on the list of connected devices.

Select the Basic information tab.
Select Firmware upgrade.
Wait a moment while the device software is updated.
