Turn use of phone lock code on or off

The phone lock code prevents others from accessing the contents of your phone (such as pictures and messages). When the phone lock code is turned on, it needs to be used every time you turn on your phone and when it has been in sleep mode.

Step 1 of 13

Slide two fingers downwards starting from the top of the screen.

Step 2 of 13

Press the settings icon.

Step 3 of 13

Press Security & biometrics.

Step 4 of 13

Press Screen lock.

Step 5 of 13

Press Pattern.

Step 6 of 13

Slide your finger across the screen to connect at least four points and press Next.

Step 7 of 13

Repeat the selected phone lock code and press Confirm.

Step 8 of 13

Press the required setting.

Step 9 of 13

Press Done.

Step 10 of 13

Press Screen lock and key in the current phone lock code.

Step 11 of 13

Press None.

Step 12 of 13

Press YES, REMOVE.

Press the Home key to return to the home screen.

1. 1. Find "Screen lock"

Slide two fingers downwards starting from the top of the screen.
Press the settings icon.
Press Security & biometrics.
Press Screen lock.

2. 2. Create phone lock code using a pattern

Press Pattern.
Slide your finger across the screen to connect at least four points and press Next.
Repeat the selected phone lock code and press Confirm.
Press the required setting.
Press Done.

3. 3. Turn off use of phone lock code

Press Screen lock and key in the current phone lock code.
Press None.
Press YES, REMOVE.

4. 4. Return to the home screen

Press the Home key to return to the home screen.
